Coron, Palawan

November 18, 2008

It all started as a casual conversation between me and Carol.
Seeing pictures of her almost monthly vacations, I started asking how much does it costs to travel to the places she's been to.

As I'm not into spending big and traveling outside of my normal vacation destination (Laguna / Batangas / Bulacan / Baguio). I really can't remember how the heck was I convinced to book a flight right there and then. In less than 10mins I already have a confirmed flight for me and my family dated April 3, 2009.

The destination, Coron in Busuanga Island, Palawan.

Busuanga Island belongs to the Calamianes Group of Islands and is located in the northernmost part of Palawan, on the Philippines' southwestern border. It is halfway from both Manila and Puerto Princesca (the capital city of the province of Palawan). In Busuanga Island, the municipality of Coron is one of the famous tourist destinations where you can go diving, snorkeling, trekking, kayaking and island hopping.

Fast Forward April 3, 2009 to April 6, 2009

From this point forward, you will see mostly pictures. From Terminal 3 to Busuanga Airport to Mount Tapyas Hotel to Lunch to Island Hopping to etc, etc, etc...
I'll update this post from time to time as I was not able to get all of the names of the places we've visited. Pictures will also be added.

So, sit back and enjoy the view.

  5. Been there last September, this place is really worth visiting. There is so much more to Coron than meets the eye. More than the crystal clear waters in the white shorelines and nature and unexploited beaches rest an infinite bliss and pleasure. (huh! ang lalim!) If you are a water-lovin beach bums, Coron is one of the best places to sink your toes in. Naks nice post Mr. Roadrunner... kinabog mo kami.

Korek kortez... at babalik tayo dun. I'm not just a water-lovin beach bum. I literally grew up near the sea. Dahil ang aking lolo ay isang hamak na mangingisda at turf nya ang Manila Bay. Although MOA na ngayon ang nakatayo at medyo madumi na ang tubig. I was lucky to witness when Manila Bay waters was still crystal clear, hindi nga lang sya white sand kundi burak. (angfanget ng comparison... hehehe)
Salamat sa visit sa aking blog and for commenting. =)

    Carol
Yes, ganyan ang effect ng Coron. Kay justin, matindi din ang effect. Hanggang ngayon, bukang bibig ang pag-sakay sa airplane at bangka. =)
